EphemeraThe ephemeral holdings of HWRD include among other things a group of posters created by school students in the Territory of Hawaii on various wartime campaigns such as war bonds and savings stamps, recycling, food and nutrition. Two items come from the blackout experience in Hawaii: a block warden's helmet and a blackout light globe. Money printed for use in Hawaii with the word "Hawaii" across the face; money printed by the Japanese for occupied Philippines; and money from Imperial Japan are other examples of ephemera in the HWRD.
