1. Eligibility is open to all registered Manoa graduate students and Faculty. Applicants or users with two (2) locker violations will be denied use of a locker.
2. If you are eligible, you will have the use of a locker for one of three time periods:
- Fall Semester
- Spring Semester OR
- Summer Session (Terms I and II)
1. Locker assignments MUST BE RENEWED EACH SEMESTER as follows:
Each semester renewal must be done at the time you receive your tuition payment slip or your current validated UHM I.D. card, which indicates that you are registered for the current semester.
2. If you do not wish to renew the locker assignment at the end of the semester, you should notify the Hamilton Library Administration Office immediately or when the Fall Semester, Spring Semester or the Summer Session ends, whichever is applicable. (Dates according to UHM General Information Bulletin.)
3. If you fail to renew the locker within the above stated time:
- all personal items will be removed from the locker, held for one(1) month and then disposed of.
- the locker will be reassigned and the combination changed.
1. NO Library reference books, microforms, bound or unbound magazines, or serials, are to be kept in a locker.
2. All other Library materials must be charged out at the Circulation Desk BEFORE they are put into a locker.
3. NO FOOD IS TO BE KEPT IN A LOCKER.
4. NO VALUABLES (e.g., computers, cameras, calculators, money) should be kept in a locker. The Library will NOT be responsible for any such valuables.
5. Patrons MUST NOT duplicate keys.
6. Keys and combination lockers are NON-TRANSFERABLE to another party.
7. Lockers are SUBJECT TO INSPECTION at any time.
- Library materials not currently checked out will be removed.
- Checked out circulating library materials which have fallen overdue (according to last stamp date) will be removed.
- Overdue or uncharged library materials from any other library will be removed and returned to that library.
- Food, etc., will be discarded.
8. Users with TWO VIOLATIONS will be asked to vacate their lockers and will forfeit all future locker privileges to another party.
1. Report a lost key to Hamilton Library Administration immediately. A $10.00 charge will be collected to cover the cost of the lost key.
2. Patrons who do not renew their lockers and fail to return their keys will forfeit all future locker privileges.
3. Failure to return keys within 10 working days after the date the semester ends, or non payment of lost locker keys will result in the application of sanctions by the University as provided by the Rules and Regulations governing delinquent financial obligations. These sanctions include denial of registration, transcripts and/or graduation unless and until your account is settled to the satisfaction of the Library.
NOTE: This policy supersedes all other locker policies.
