Kaliabin Pavel Ivanovich. Born Jan. 10, 1896 in the village of Semenovsk Simbirsk oblast. His mother Tat'iana Kaliabina worked in Chita. She abandoned her husband and with the children in 1910 came to Hawaii. He worked on a plantation on the Big Island. Moved to Honolulu Sept. 23, 1917 and married Soltanovich Sofiia Boleslavovna, b. 1900 (+UH tape session). Trautshold noted: "probably not going to return to Russia. Top of Page
