Kalashnikov Evstafii Ivanovich. Born Sept. 28, 1871. Lived in Blagoveschhensk, and then moved to Harbin where he was a drayman. In 1910 on the ship Siberia he came with his family (wife -- Nadezhda Ivanovna, born 1872; and 6 children) to Hawaii. About one year he worked on sugar plantations on Kauai and the Big Island. He left for San Francisco to work for money for five years without his family. He returned to Honolulu but found only temporary work. The oldest daughter married a Chinese Top of Page
