Chistiakov Petr Markelovich. Born Dec. 1877 from a peasant family in the village Bol'shaia Uda Nizhegorod guberniia. In Harbin for three years he worked as a contractor and carpenter. In 1909 on the ship Siberia he came with his family to Hawaii. In 1912 for six months he went to San Francisco to work. When he returned to Honolulu he bought a house. He worked as a carpenter in the dry docks at Fort Shafter ($4.50 day) His wife was Evdokiia Fedorovna, 36 yrs. old. They had five children. The oldest daughter Anna (Nuar Chistcoff as it was reported in the local paper) at 17 married an American soldier William Palanis, in the Christian Church on Kewalo Street by Minister David Cary Peters, on Jan. 12, 1917. The witnesses were William J. Smith and Natalie Kobelansky.
