Bobkov, Sergei Ivanovich born Sept. 19, 1898 in the village of Groodishche-IUshkovo in Moscow guberniia. In Harbin he worked in the buffet of the CER railway . In 1912 he left alone for Hawaii to his older brother F. I. Bobkov. In Honolulu he studied in school, and then worked as a photographer in a newspaper, and then as a painter at Schofield Barracks for $2/day. Left for Seattle. Trautshold notes: "working at Castner."
