Ivanov Ivan Ivanovich. Born Dec. 29, 1886 in Unilovitse Liubilinsk guberniia. By nationality he was Polish, but his name does not reflect this. In Harbin he served in the military in a gun workshop of the 2d Horse Regiment. He deserted in 1912 and from the port of Dalnyi he came to Hawaii with the last group that was leaving. In Honolulu he worked as a joiner for buildings at Fort Shafter for $4.50/day. He married Evdokiia Fedorovna, b. 1896 and had 2 daughters: 2 and 3 yrs. old. Before leaving for Russia "on Jan. 17, 1918 a son John [Ivan] was born to Mr. and Mrs. John Ivanoff of Smith Lane off Fort Street."
