IAkshtas Vikantii Kazimirovich. Born Oct. 30, 1873 in the village of Bekuny Kovensk guberniia. Nationality Lithuanian. After participating in the Russo-Japanese War he lived in Harbin, where he worked as pointsman on the CER station Khan'daokhetszy, and then as a shoe-maker. In 1910 on the ship Siberia he came to Honolulu. He was a concrete worker building the piers ($2 day). For repatriating he said: "I want to return to Russia, where it's easier to live. I thought here was better, but it is worse."
