Group Study Rooms Policy
GROUP STUDY ROOMS
Hamilton Library has group study rooms that are available for
use by University of Hawaii at Manoa campus students, faculty, and staff on a first
come first served basis. The rooms are unlocked and available for use any time the
library is open. The group study rooms in the Main part of the library are rooms
202, 203, 204, 207, 208. In the Addition are rooms A252, A253, and A254.
Use of these rooms is subject to the Group Study Room Guidelines listed below.
GROUP STUDY ROOM GUIDELINES
1. Group Study rooms are available for University of Hawaii at Manoa campus students,
faculty, and staff in good standing with the library.
2. Use of rooms is on a first come, first served basis.
3. Groups have priority over individuals studying in these rooms. An individual
using a room must yield to a group.
4. Smoking, food, and beverages are prohibited in Group Study rooms.
5. Please refrain from moving furniture into or out of any of the Group Study rooms.
6. No window coverings are permitted. Nothing may be affixed to the wall, windows, ceiling, or door.
7. Please do not leave personal belongings unattended in Group Study rooms.
8. Please keep the door closed to avoid disturbing others.
9. When chalkboards are used, please be courteous and erase your work prior to leaving the room.
10. Library security personnel monitor Group Study rooms regularly.
11. Please be courteous to other groups by not occupying these rooms longer than needed to complete
your group work. We want to make this service available to as many groups as possible.
12. Any abuse of the rooms may result in revoking usage of the Group Study rooms.
